Pet Portraits in Oil, Dog and Animal Paintings by Santa Fe Artist Mary Hancock
Woman holding brush with dalmatiam face
The proverb suggesting that the eyes are the window to the soul is very relevant to me as a portrait painter. Expression of eyes can be compelling, sorrowful, excited, serene, questioning and much more. Sentiment expressed in the eyes of a portrait is a portal to our inner selves and emotions, we connect by how we relate to that expression.

In our prized companions of the Kingdom Anamalia, expression comes easily without deceit. We look into those ever shining, happy windows as they look at us, for rarely are they ever deterred or sad for long, we know their souls, we realize the connection of boundless love and joy, never wanting it to end. This is the essence of what I wish to capture in every portrait I paint.

If you are interested in commissioning an original oil painting of your favorite companion please scroll down for pricing and my contact form to either leave an inquiry by email or contact me at ...505.983.0775... if you wish to call.  I enjoy personalizing your painting and love to see what you envision and what your goals are so we can create this portrait of your pet together.
May your favorite muse become mine too....!

How to get started and some things to think about to help determine price.  We may go through many photos to determine the best ones for the painting, start by emailing them to me. Consider:
